It lacks plot but the idea behind the story is great and it was enjoyable.

I am not big on the shifters, but I can stomach through. And I'm all up for the soulmate trope if it's done right.
But when there are lines like, I wanna kiss you while we make a child in your womb, no thanks.
That just isn't my thing.

The only thing I did like were the narrators.

"Must find Mates" is not my favorite trope, but at least the "mates" are not weak, spineless women.
Stories are short and could have used a little more meat to them, more background or worldbuilding information. But, quick and interesting read.

If you are wanting kinky story telling it's here. Otherwise the rest felt rushed.

Zero depth to the plot or world building. The human population doesn’t know that dragons exist and this dude transforms right in front of this chick like “so, we cool now? Btw, you’re my dragon soul mate” This has nothing on her Fallen Immortals series

I liked this book. It's a light paranormal romance. It is an easy read. The thing about Alisa woods is most of her books could be blown up to be urban fantasy. I feel like I am being teased about future world building that I seldom get probably because it is romance and not urban fantasy. Alisa have you tried your hand at full blown UF? I will keep reading.

Ember's on a mission to find her missing sister. There's a party on her sister's calendar & she thinks she'll find a lead. She bribes one of the catering staff to let her take her place. She sneaks in to the office & gets caught red-handed with a flash drive in her hand. She's trying to find evidence that Niko Lord is in to trafficking. What she finds out is way more than she expected.

This story is filled with a variety of subjects--abducting young women for sex trafficking, hospice for the ailing, steamy scenes, and action. This is another hit from Alisa. Her dragons are always hot & sexy alpha males, and the female lead characters are always strong, spunky and independent women. Put this on your TBR list.

Quite short. I do like the characters and the story idea, but it was super insta-love and had lots of steamy scenes. Which are not bad of course, but I was not invested in the characters due to the shortness. Had it been a longer book, it would have been better for me.
