Beautiful novel in verse by the amazing Jacqueline Woodson. This one deals with head injuries and concussions in football, something I am not sure I've ever read about in YA fiction. But of course, it's about much more...friendships, family, loss, and growing up.

i don’t really know anything about sports, nor have any interest in them, but this was so sad and delicate. the audiobook narrator was also fantastic.

-Quick read about a boy and his dad who is a professional football player who winds up with a brain injury, CTE.
-Told in verse.
-emotional with an important message, like all Woodson books that I've read

A fantastic middle grade read that brought a tear to my eye! As someone with a history of multiple concussions this hits different. It was incredible to read from a kids perspective about pain and sadness. Highly recommend.
