This book was really well written, and I couldn’t put it down. I found the stories of patients, particularly Julie, deeply moving. I didn’t always love how technical the psychotherapy theory got, but I suppose I should expect that from a psychotherapist. Overall it was a book that prompted reflection on life and love and how to do both well, and that’s worth the read.

An engaging read, giving great insight into what goes on in a therapist's room, especially if you've never had therapy yourself. I enjoyed the two perspectives of therapy wrapped up into one and there were informative tidbits in here too. I think it was slightly on the "too long" side. Could have been trimmed down!
