Essa leitura conversou muito comigo de um jeito que me levou a gatilhos que nem mesmo sabia que poderiam me afetar, mas sobre os quais refleti bastante (e levei a minha própria terapia).
Achei a forma como foi exposto e escrito as histórias e exemplos, foi muito respeitosa e honesta. Acompanhar alguns pacientes em paralelo em como reverbarava na Lori, foi especial, enfim, uma leitura que eu amei muito, apesar de ter sofrido em muitos momentos.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It wasn't as inspirational as something like Educated (Tara Westover) but it isn't about one subject like a dozen other psychology/psychiatry books on similar or related topics. I guess I don't know who this book is for. Maybe people who have never been through therapy, or only tried it once over twenty+ years ago? 

I don't think I connected enough with this representation of therapy or with the "characters" that we follow through the book. And there were points where I struggled with what is being related- such as the "Welcome to Holland" section.

Loved everything about it. It’s such an honest informative book. I was very invested in the different client stories. And it’s so easy and well written. Loved it.
