This book was a bit complicated for me, due to me not enjoying it until the last half of the book. I had to STRUGGLE through the first 200 pages, but kept going because everyone has said how AMAZING this book is, and I wanted to understand and experience the hype. My issues with this book stemmed from the massive info dump and character dump that we received very early into the book that made it hard for me to connect to our main character, Bree. Also, getting so much information at breakneck speed made it so I spent a lot of time confused and having to turn back to re-read things I missed. After page 200 though, I started really becoming invested with our main character and her journey. By the end of this book I not only fell in love with our main character, but our supporting characters as well. This is such a unique urban fantasy and I cannot wait to see where the rest of the story will take us!

I found this book both easy to read and heavy at the same time, I'll be honest I found myself skimming certain chunks.. yet still managed to keep up with the story, might just be how I digested it. Overall it was a solid story and I will probably pick up the next boot at some point!
