i've lowered my expectation but still it disappointed me. the lack of excitement i felt in most of the scenes got me bored very easily. i was hoping that ove would be better than tvd: more surprising and more heart-wrenching but unfortunately, most of the scenes in ove went bland and dissonant. it also appeared to me that the plot was getting nowhere. nevertheless, there are some parts that i loved such as the beautiful prose (i will die to read more of them). i believe chloe gong's writing style will always be her superiority since her writings have never failed to make my mouth hanging agape. ove is certainly not the best book i've read but im still looking forward to read gong's other works!

Great conclusion to this amazing duology. This is a must-read and I am obsessed.

To me, this was significantly better than the first book. There was less tiptoeing around their feelings and relationship, and much more about the actual plotline. It was easier to get into this story and I actually wanted to read through the whole thing.
