This volume hits my kind of trope! It instantly reminded me of Hunter x Hunter’s Chimera Ant arc, and I can’t help but wonder how much it will mirror that storyline in terms of battle dynamics and emotional impact. HxH set the bar ridiculously high, so I’m curious to see how Solo Leveling stacks up.
Esil is an interesting addition, but I’m still unsure about her long-term role beyond hinting at the existence of a much larger demon world beyond the dungeon-human connection. The whole censorship glitch when she tries to reveal certain information is both amusing and frustrating—who’s controlling that, and why? I hope it all makes sense by the time the manhwa wraps up.
Jinwoo reaching the 100th floor, taking down the dungeon boss, leveling up, crafting the Elixir of Life, and healing his mother is satisfying to witness. While I liked every moment, I kind of wish we had a brief lull with his family before jumping straight into the next big arc. That said, I can’t lie—I was hyped to see the Japanese and Korean S-rank hunters sizing each other up. I can already see the pattern here: Jinwoo staying low-key at first, then stepping in when things get serious.
That last chapter was brutal though. I expected it but that was fast. Now that we’re in Jeju, the real battles are about to begin, and I can’t wait to see how Jinwoo handles what’s coming next.

I really hope the different demon clans are going to get explored some more!
