Aggressively fine, almost to the point of frustration? I found Cassandra's potential as the FMC somewhat wasted here, and a lot of the character development for her feelt surface level in order to give Alex something to do, which is very little. He's a character tied up in trying to live up to the expectations of society, except he doesn't really care? And the book is sort of trying to tell us he has all this power but also can't marry the woman he loves, which leads to truly unesscesary angst. Which I, as the captain of the angst ship, am more than qualified to determine.
