me siento una vieja diciendo libros de fantasía eran los de antes!!!!! (tampoco es tan viejo igual)
This is a YA about a young woman/girl (16) who is half human, half dragon. This is a terrible secret, and would surely ruin her career at court or kill her if it was revealed. Dragons, which can fold themselves into human form, and humans have shared an uneasy peace over the last forty years and the anniversary of their treaty is drawing near. Just before the festivities, the prince and heir is murdered in a very dragon-like way. Seraphina sets out to learn the truth and is assisted and befriended by the captain of the guard and the princess. Great characters, lots of enjoyable twists and intrigue, and a fun story. Will read the sequel!

Good, though I would've preferred a slower plot and more time to flesh out the world. You can tell the author has put a lot into its creation, and hopefully it will get to shine more in the next book. Not that that seems likely with the promise of war, but who can say until they've read, eh? <\spoiler> Read on an iPad.

Read on 2013.
I love fantasy books and I supposed it’s not a secret to everyone it’s my Achilles heels. Seraphina are probably one of the most hype book ever, It’s on my bucket list since forever and when I finally grabbed the chance to read it I’m nothing but nerves. I was so excited to dived into this world and see if the fuzz are all worth it.
Seraphina started out as slow, It was perfectly fine with me thinking it would actually got better as the story unravels. There’s occasional hilarious and witty moments that make up for the rather bland part. As I read further I found something that doesn’t sit well with me and I guess you could say it bothers me up for quite a bit. I’ve read handful of fantasy books set in medieval periods and I didn’t had any rough time connecting with the story and especially with the dialogue. I don’t know if it was only me but the dialogue, pleasantries and some of the terms the author used was really confusing and hard to grasp. The characters were all fine but poorly developed for example [Spoiler Alert] Seraphina had talked to Lucian for several times then they had a quarrel about fraternizing with dragons and the next thing I know Seraphina was crying in a bathroom stall because she realized she loved Lucian. I don’t know about you but that doesn’t really make me giddy. It came out of nowhere. It was poorly developed. Seraphina is a nice heroine. I don’t have any problems with her except I didn’t fell madly in love with her. I’m weird like that.
I never thought I would ever say this but Seraphina is a disappointing read. I expected much better from this book.
As for much I love dragons, it was difficult to finish this book. I think I expected other thing but the story is cute. Maybe I wasn't totally familiar with the concepts of thw story. Mmm 3 stars because the scenarios were beautiful.
want to read because of...

I thought the “this girl is sixteen and looks like other girls but there’s actually something special about her and she’s going to save the world” genre was dead but this book slayed the trope slayed the romance and slayed the worldbuilding. Also the most beautiful prose in a YA book I’ve ever seen
