— what a gripping, morbid and intriguing book. the writing style is very accesible (and the prose is gorgeous as well) and it’s overall an easy read and analysis, can totally understand why it’s considered a modern classic!

Written relating to some one whose sense of smell is the dominant sense, more so than sight. Descriptions of places are written accordingly.
Good story that rolled along at a quick pace and neatly clipped any loose ends as it went.

It’s like if Kafka and Dostoyevsky had a sex dream while Camus sat in the corner and watched. It’s so demented and unique, an absurdist tale with highs, lows, and a twist ending that would entertain Caligula.

Interesting, utterly disgusting, very slow at times. Some ideas were intriguing but overall nahh. The writing was also not remarkable or memorable
