Yeah I really love this one. So what if the author refuses to elaborate on the horrors seen and felt? So what if he keeps repeating that the mountains look like a watercolour by whatisname? Writing full length descriptions is dull work that can be replaced by ✨vibes✨.
10/10 have read before, will read again.

This is my first foray into H.P. Lovecraft, and I must admit that although his writing style requires getting used to, he certainly keeps the reader on the edge of the seat! One can almost taste the sense of foreboding, as the main character delves deeper into an unearthly civilization discovered hidden in the Antarctic.

Nažalost previše naivno sa dugim nepotrebnim opisima koji često knjigu čine dosadnom.

I didn't care for the abrupt transition from the characters reaccounting to the massive lore dump in this book. Also the information was too advanced for the limited scientific analysis of the time and I could no longer suspend my disbelief to enjoy the story written.

Lovecraft is severely over-rated to be honest. This book was really hard to get through even though its only roughly 100 pages. It felt like a self indulgent exploration of his own mythology and it was extreamly dry and boring. Also nothing happened. Also he insulted the magesty that is penguins.

(also he's rasist)

Didn't enjoy the book. No character develop or investment in the characters or story. The horror is boring, bland and cliché and the creatures just seemed stupid

En las montañas de la locura es un poco decepcionante, pero los otros relatos que conforman esta recopilación son increíbles.
