This book was truly heartwarming and very relatable as a medical professional dealing with a similar health crisis. I could see my thoughts in some of Paul’s, which made me feel less alone in my situation. His tenacity for life was evident and it is amazing that he shared his truth and story with us. Highly recommend for anyone!

This is by far the most depressing book I've ever read. When I was trying to describe the context of it to my mother I had to stop because I was on the verge of tearing up. Therefore I won't try to now, because I don't want to cry.
However, it is one of the most astonishing biographies I've read. It was written by a remarkable, young and intelligent man. And his angel wife. The way they wrote it is gold, every sentence gives you a feeling that of finding treasure. It's beautiful nonetheless. I advise it as a must-read biography.

If you’re up for some emotional damage, go ahead and read this. It’s heart shattering, but on the other hand it is also very comforting. We are so accustomed to being afraid of death, to refuse to acknowledge it’s place in life. This book is the complete opposite. I’m sure how to exactly translate how I feel. It was tragic, but also heartwarming. I felt Paul’s words, and his wife’s, deep in my soul (this book also really hits close to home). I don’t regret reading this book for a second, and would absolutely reread it.

If you’re particularly sensitive to cancer and the absolute havoc it reeks, I wouldn’t read this book right away. But I highly recommend that you do eventually. It’s beautiful.
