This was great! The world building is super interesting and the whole storyline with the faes, the halflings and the humans is captivating. Following Keera throughout her journey was very fun. She’s a strong but sensible woman and seeing both sides of her personality made me appreciate her even more! She deals with a lot by herself so I’m glad she’s slowly found peace in her companions.

Her being a blade is central in the story and I’m pretty sure it will be even more important in book 2 ( i’m excited to read it!). I didn’t feel overwhelmed with the amount of characters and i actually liked most of them by the end. This was a fun read and I will definitely read book 2 :)

I loved the main character because not many fantasy books accurately portray substance abuse and the struggles a person goes through with that. I do like betrayal in books when the betrayal is done be the actual villain. I HATE when there’s a betrayal done by the mate/friends when it’s utterly useless and just did not need to happen for the plot. It just feels like a cheap way to build suspense/conflict instead of putting more work into the plot.

Prime pagine molto lente e ho trovato diversi dettagli simili al trono di ghiaccio della Maas, per il resto è una storia carina ma non sono riuscita ad empatizzare con nessun personaggio in particolare.

I could tell this was a debut novel, but the writing has potential & I read through this so fast.

The word choices and story arch development just feels very flat. I feel like this is a young adult book written by a young adult, but it’s trying to be dark.  I just have trouble wrapping my head around if we’re in the dark world or the sudden suddenly magical world.  Couldn’t make it through.
