I wanted to like this much more than I did - the characters are actually quite fun, and there are some lines that made me giggle but somehow the story just didnt hold together for me.

I was just fascinated by the glimpse of modern Indian culture presented here. The story moves along at a nice pace, and I tore right through it.
The ending didn't quite work for me, but up 'til then, this book really had me.

This is fluffy, fun, popcorn read which doesn't deserve its extremely low goodreads average. As the name suggests, it's a romcom-esque story which takes place over the course of one night, in an Indian call centre. It's genuinely funny in places, despite the narrator (a guy called Shyam, struggling to get over his ex-girlfriend who also works on his call centre team) occasionally being too douchey for my tastes.

Mediocre. It isn't worth your time. I only read it because there wasn't anything else to read while I waited ( for an unfairly long time) in a train station.
This book wasnt clearly near to as good as Chetan Bhagat's other books. But yeah it surely wasnt bad.
It had a fair share of humour & interesting things happening in each of the character's lives that kept me glued to this book. It was a kind of book that you dont get to read everyday and thats where you realize its written by Chetan Bhagat.
It is narrated by Shyam, the centre character of the book. He takes us through his messed up life, always complaining about his work life & his screwed up love life. Through this he also takes us into the lives of other characters of the book inncluding his ex-girlfriend Priya, his best friend Vroom & the other people in his team at the Call Center.
Near the end of the book, we get to know that each of the characters' life is completely messed up. At the end all of them together go through a near death incident during which they get a call. A call from GOD. He heard all of theirs problems & gave them solutions that opened the eyes of Shyam & his teammates and made them realize the true meaning of life that they didnt knew before.
After this they survived and changed everything around them. They straighten their lives at work, doing justice for all the people working at the Call Center. Shyam finally gets his girl back and the book ends with that.
