what i like about this book is its detail in describing every moment of the siege. but, i dont think the writer read enough sources from the ottoman side. from my point of view the writer put mehmet the conqueror as the antagonist while constantine is the unlucky protagonist. and that mehmet is a blood-wealth-fame thirst while constantine is a brave leader. anyway, I shouldn't have surprised since the writer is a western scholar.
