3.5 Loves the characters even the ones who by their nature aren't particularly likeable.

I liked this book, and yet I thought I would like it more... Maybe because I thought the book would be centered around the romance, and yet it was more about Sam's journey through his messed up life, and since Emily wasn't in Sam's life for that long a time was neglected as a character. While I thought Sam was a well developed character as well as his brother Riddle Emily was lacking. This book did not satisfy me in the way I hoped it would, but I did enjoy it.

This story had all the elements I like in a story. There was of course a teen romance, but it wasn't annoying (yeah!). Sure sometimes it was super angsty but mostly it was about really making a connection with someone. What I really liked about the story was the unsolved mysteries aspect of the tale. I also think riddle was probably the best part of the story. If you like underdog stories then you'll like I'll be there.

Loved this. It is a YA book, but I think it reads like a regular fiction book. I liked the relationships and the dynamics. I also liked that it didn't get too teen-angsty. Read the sequel, too!

When people say Do Not Read In Public, I should probably listen, as it would likely save my mascara. You want a book that brings crocodile tears from sadness and joy, read I’ll Be There by Holly Goldberg Sloan. This is arguably one of the best contemps I’ve read all year.

Really a 3.5. A sweet book, funny at times, heart-wrenching, but a little simplistic. Not as good as her wonderful Counting by 7s.

This is one of those books that just comes at you with a quiet, tender story that just grabs you. I loved the characters and I love the simple, matter of fact asides the story continually offers (though it can make getting into the book a little harder). It reminds me a lot of a character I tried to write about a few times, and that might be why the story connected with me the way it did.

Good book; liked the originality of it, especially showing the stalkerish romance point of view BUT Emily and Sam's romance is so underdone, like how did they even fall in love? Their time together in the book was so short and never written about. It was more a self development character book than a romance.

Other than not being very satisfied with the ending.... I adored the story.
