REVIEW 2016:
This was an amazing second book. It was, yes, a bit more boring than the first one, but I likes it anyway.

I don't really like water settings (and I say this every time I come across a book that has one), but this book made me feel like it wasn't a big part of the story. Or not bigger than the outcasts, the isles, the cave under the sea... and I really liked that.

The drawings started a bit gross but got better as we followed hiccup alone and apart of all of that gross vikings. I wish there were more full body dragon drawings, though.

I will be reading a httyd book a year so technically my journey has just begun! I've love the movies since the very beginning, and I'm glad I have a chance to enjoy the books as well.

Just realizing that this series isn't for me, hence, discontinuing it.

I have to admit I like this one better than the first one. It was a great story, you are able to really start to see Hiccup as a leader. I really enjoyed the addition of the epilogue. On to book three.

Not as fun as the first one, but I'm still interested in where the story will head.
