Without Fear

3.86 AVERAGE

The entire plot is two emotionally constipated men refusing to have a conversation

I really enjoyed book one, but this second one is not it. Macy comes off childish and annoying. He gives Logan a single word or sentence of information then lives the room for Logan to sit there puzzled. And it happens so often through the book. Honestly, It’s actually quite annoying.

Without Fear

So happy to have a story for Logan. As with all of this author’s work it was full of action. There are a ton of characters from all of her different series.

Progress

When Reese Knightley says there are secrets, she’s not kidding. Some made me squeal in glee and others, well, you’ll just need to read for yourself to find out. I will say the adorably snarky but mysterious Macy made my head spin in the best way. He’s a force and exactly what serious but sexy Logan needs. Life will definitely always be interesting with these two. The one who stole the show for me though is Echo. He is freaking amazing and I love him to pieces. Intense, gripping and action-packed, I can’t get enough of all of these men and the truly fantastic family they are.

I thought Macy was kind of a dick for a lot of this. It took a while for him to grow on me. I also wished I would have read the 1st book again before this one. I forgot who Macy was... oops.

Not at all expected but it was good

I came back to this series after reading the two others and after a break for a few months so it was a little difficult to keep everyone's names and affiliations and partners straight in my head but this was a nice backstory and romance, if a little quick.

This one was not for me. Macy got on my nerves so much. I mean in the end they both worked on the issues and it made sense in the storyline for it to happen that way with all of the action. However, I very much disliked the dramatics and one sidedness between the mmc’s. Until the ending when the light bulb came on for Macy. About freakin time.

The writing was still good and so was the storyline.
