Interesting turn of events but the romantic aspect at the end was so out of place!!! And they lived happily ever after.

It’s too negative (for me).  The opening prologue was extremely bleak and the first chapter was just negative and awful.
With the premise of the book, I can’t see the tone picking up.
A case of it’s not you (book), it’s me.

I /really/ enjoyed this one. 100% my favourite Jo Spain book thus far.

I liked how it followed multiple different cases that look as though they may be linked with the same killer. Flicking between 1998 and 2019, it slowly reveals what's actually happened with both the cold cases and the new case.

Some of the reveals I did guess, but some I didn't and they surprised me. I liked how everything was resolved at the end so there's no guessing what happened.
