Ho amato questo libro. Racconta in modo secondo me emozionante e appassionato quella che è inizialmente la storia di due fratelli, il quale maggiore dei due si è trovato a dover compiere scelte difficili pur di evitare che li separassero. I due riescono a trovare un'altra famiglia a cui appartenere, sebbene improvvisata.

Cornelia Funke ha scritto un'altra volta una storia amorevole, affettuosa, della ricerca di un proprio percorso di vita nuovo, di amicizia e supporto reciproco, rara nel suo raccontare tipi d'amore diversi da quello romantico. Una bella #FoundFamily 💖

Avrei letto molto volentieri un sequel, peccato sia uno standalone.

Loved the setting of Venice and all the delightful characters the two children meet. Their discovery of the Thief Lord's background was fun. And the changes in the detective were interesting. Hornet, I think, was my favorite.
