I've been waiting for Zoe's story, and I loved it! While I'm sad to see the Animal Magnetism series end, this has become one of my favorite book series by far. With the perfect mix of mystery, romance and comedy - you come to expect nothing less from the author. I always know that I'm going to fall in love with the characters, especially when you throw animals into the mix. I love Zoe and Parker!

Another wonderful book by Jill Shalvis. I absolutely love the hero, Parker. Smart, protective, funny, strong, brave...I could go on and on. He was the perfect pick to go head to head with stubborn and too serious Zoe.

I have to admit that I feel a bit bad for Kel and I'm not really sure if this was the last book in the series or if there will be more. If there are more, I hope he gets a happy ending himself.

All I Want by Jill Shalvis is a 2015 Berkley Publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

All I Want has all the trademark humor we've come to expect from Jill Shalvis, especially in the Animal Magnetism series, but there is a little romantic suspense element in this one I really liked.

Zoe, has convinced herself she is good and fine since her brother Wyatt and her sister Darcy found true love and have moved out of the house and on with their lives. But, deep down, she longs for the same happiness her siblings have found.

As fate would have it, Wyatt's good friend, Parker, is on a vacation and Zoe has agreed to let him stay at the house with her to help finance home repairs. When the two meet each other sparks fly right away but in a hilarious way, which had me laughing out loud.

Naturally, the couple tries to deny they are feeling a connection and work hard to douse the flames because they are not really suited for each other. Parker is on a vendetta mission, which is very dangerous, but once he's done what he needs to, he will disappear back into the dark and murky world from which he came.

Zoe needs total honesty, commitment, loyalty and honor, NOT dark, dangerous, and mysterious. It seems as though a hot fling is all she can hope for… unless a litter of adorable kittens and a delightful rescue dog named Oreo can help pave the way for Zoe's own Happily Ever After.

I have been catching up with the Animal Magnetism series little by little recently, and was very curious about how Zoe's story was going to play out. I love her cutting edge occupation, her loyalty to family, and felt her insecurities were valid. Same with Parker, who, had some family matters to cope with as well.

As I said before, Parker has a dangerous job, and is going rogue a little bit here, looking for justice in the death of his partner. This story line added a little bit of danger and suspense to the story, and of course I loved that element, which really made this installment stand out a little more than some of the other chapters I have read so far.

One thing Jill Shalvis is very good at is creating heroes that will melt your panties off, but will melt your heart in the process. I thought Wyatt was nearly perfect , but now here comes Parker. Geez! But, of course her stories are usually always very well balanced, laced with emotional dramas, and offset with humor, and excellent banter and dialogue that never fails to leave me with a smile on my face.

Fan Girling on this one. 5 stars

Finally, Zoe Stone sister to Wyatt and Emily from previous books, has the house to herself. Trouble is, she's lonely, broke, and can't admit she might not be able to take care of it all herself. When she offers to let a friend of Wyatt's room with her for the summer, she figures all Forestry Agent Parker will need is a room and her skills as a private pilot.

When she mistakes Parker for her blind date and lays a smoochie on him at the door, sparks fly. Zoe's summer may be interesting then she could have hoped for.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Zoe Stone has always been the one to keep things running smoothly. A lifetime of her parents being off doing their thing has made her the solid one, the one that made sure that her younger siblings had what they needed, that life looked somewhat normal. But now that her brother and sister are out on their own, Zoe's ready for a life reboot. Parker James has always wanted to be the opposite of his parents, to live a life different from the one mapped out for him. An agent for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, he's happy to go wherever the job takes him. There's no room in his life for settling down...

Any time that Jill Shalvis releases something new, it's an automatic top of the TBR for me. I will shuffle things around just so that I can read her books, because I love them so much. Having met and loved Zoe in previous books in Jill's Animal Magnetism series, I was excited to see what was in store for her. As the eldest of three kids that have spent their lives in far-flung corners of the world due to their foreign service parents, Zoe has found that she loves being back home in Sunshine, Idaho. She's finally found a rhythm to her life, a steadiness that makes her happy. When Parker shows up, that equilibrium is more than upset, and it isn't long before her life is turned upside down.

Oh God. "You're not Newman Taylor," she whispered in horror.
"No," he said. "But if your next guess is Parker James, you'd be right."
Oh God. Wyatt's friend, to whom she'd agreed to rent a room for the few weeks he was in town...
"You're my brother's old friend."
"Not all that old, really," he said, and looked at her mouth.
The mouth she'd kissed him with. Good God, I kissed him.
He grinned.
And...she'd said that out loud. Perfect. She covered her face. "I'm sorry, I-"
"Don't be sorry," he said. "That kiss was the best thing to happen to me all week."

I love these two. Determined not to get involved, it isn't long, of course, before good intentions are rethought, and all kinds of sizzle ensues. And, when I say sizzle, I mean hot as all heck. The chemistry between Zoe and Parker is the swoon-inducing, fan yourself type, and there is plenty of it.

One of my favorite things about reading one of Jill's books is the sense of community, the family ties, the knowledge that the places she writes about are home, in the realest sense of the word. ALL I WANT has all of this, along with the suspense of the back story surrounding Parker and the requisite wonderful cast of supporting characters, making for an absorbing, can't put it down read. 5+ stars, and a recommendation to grab this one, settle in, and enjoy.

Dammit, I read this too quickly. LOVED LOVED LOVED it, but damn, Jill, why did it have to end? So, so cute and swoony. Great characters with really well developed arcs.

As always, I can't wait for more! Hoping Kel gets his own book soon!!!

I'm a big fan of Jill Shalvis--her books are a perfect weekend read no matter the season. I've read her books on the beach and snuggled up on the couch. They're comforting in their predictability, and this book is no exception. I loved Zoe and Parker as a couple--and I absolutely fell in love with Oreo, the dog (not that it takes much for me to do that, but still!). And the kittens!

What I like about this book and all of her books is that there actually is a plot to the story--sometimes in fluffy romances there isn't anything else going on other than the romance, but that's not the case with Jill Shalvis. The story was interesting and moved at a great pace. I was hooked instantly!

If you've read other books by Shalvis or in this series (Animal Magnetism) and liked them, you will love this one too! And I LOVE LOVE LOVED the ending. Don't worry, I won't give it away. But I LOVED it!!!

I only have one grip about the book. Let me preface this gripe by saying to Jill Shalvis, I know that this isn't your fault. I know you don't design the covers. But this cover shows an adorable couple walking an adorable dog on the beach. The cover did its job--it drew me in. BUT....the entire book is set in Idaho. There is no beach. I know it's nitpicking, but I am admittedly a cover snob. BUT again...not the author's fault and the book is fantastic!
