I was hoping to dive into a nice light contemporary read. I love and adore Maine so that had me even more excited. I was quickly disappointed. I did not like the strange change in perspectives or the immense cast of characters. I would often have to go back to figure who was who and what the relationship was to the central family. I found the character of Adam to be completely unrealistic and set up just to be hated. Tilda was frustrating to read from. I liked Hannah just felt like she was a weaker character. The families reaction to their father having a girlfriend was tepid and strange. I just felt like the entire book was a muddled mess and not enjoyable to read. I wanted so much to love this book.

I'm giving an extra star just for the descriptions of the Ogunquit area...they were lovely, and exactly what I want in a beach book.
