I enjoyed the first seasons of HIMYM and got this book as a gift from a friend. The sketches from the show doesn't really work in book form and you will skim through it in a couple of minutes. Afterwards it will end up in a box and never be opened again. Save yourself the money and have a quick look the next time you visit your local library.
I don't know why I hoped for more than just a slightly longer retelling of the "playbook" episode from HIMYM. This is primarily what the book was however. Still amusing at times, less so the more you really think about the near-mysoginy of the ideas behind it. However, so long as you are taking it as a joke, not a horrible way to kill a couple hours.

Got this for a friend's birthday but of course I had to read it first! Brings back all the memories of watching this show for sure, a lot of typical Barney humour in the writing and many recognisable plays (I just wish it had The Robin). An essential for all fans of How I Met Your Mother.
