I really like this book because, having worked in and with the consulting industry, I align with the messages in this book. It is very well researched and every point it argues is well supported. The only shame is that the recommendations for avoiding repeating the same situations in the future are relegated to the last chapter and are not very well explored in the end. However, worth a read for everyone who has to deal with consultancies as client or associate (or whatever role).

"The desire to secure additional rewards through new contracts wins out over the exchange of honest advice and expertise -- exactly what we're told is the raison d'etre of the consulting industry."
