This was an impeccable 2nd book to the series and the trio grows so much togetherness in this one, it's so wholesome to see.

It is evidently clear that there was a LOT of thought put into this series. Since I am in the habit of writing short reviews lately, here are my last words; I will now begin the next book.

Listened to the audiobook of this title. 3.5 stars. I enjoyed it, but not as much as The Blackthorn Key. It started off a bit too slowly for me to really get into the story. Around the halfway point, the story really picked up. I am still enjoying the narrator’s reading and will most likely listen to the third book as well. The puzzles are still a bit difficult to decipher when listening, but not enough to ruin the story.

I read this while I was in school and I was trying not to cry because that's embarrassing.

Slower start than the first in the series, but it definitely picks up.

Po přečtení prvního dílu jsem už věděla, do čeho jdu, a Znamení moru, mě nezklamalo. Příjemně čtivá jednohubka, určená primárně pro mladší čtenáře, rozhodně nenudí ani ty věkem pokročilejší. Prostředí historického Londýna zaujme, a příběhem vás provede skupinka sympatických přátel. Tentokrát Londýn zasáhla morová rána, a tak se skutečně mají, co otáčet.

Another great book written by Kevin Sands. Hoping that there will be more historical fiction adventures coming about Christopher and Tom.

I really love how this series is obviously written for kids, but at the same time never dumbs itself down or sugar coats anything like a lot of media for kids is. Kids are smarter and more resilient than people think and deserve good stories too. Also, this one was just as much fun as the first.
