Dreamtreaders is perfect for preteens. It contains a fascinating story world, full of action and imagination. Archer's adventures would have filled all of my daydreams if I had read this when I was younger.

For my own preference, I wish that some of the back story had been sprinkled out a bit more. Yet, as Juvenile fiction, I believe it well meets the needs of its main audience.

In conjunction with the CSFF Blog Tour, I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.

I had a fun time reading this book. Wayne Thomas Batson has definitely become one of my favorite authors.

In this book it is about a 14 year old boy named Archer who happens to be a Dreamtreader. It basically means that he can enter the world of dreams and try to stop people from having a nightmare. In the Dream world Archer is trying to stop the Nightmare Lord from making it hard to tell if people are in a dream or reality. Archer not only has to deal with the Nightmare lord in the dream world there are some problems in the waking world that he has to deal with too. When Archer goes to school there is this new kid. The new kids name is Rigby and there is something that is not so good about him and Archer has to figure that out.

For me this was a little hard to get into at first because I did not quite get how Archer was able to get in the Dream. But that did not change the fact that it was a very entertaining book. It was unique in the way that it was about dreams and that dreams have some meaning behind them just sometimes we may not understand them.

The story was really fun and the characters were great. Although Rigby I never fully trusted him throughout the story. It seemed like there was something that he was hiding and that Archer was taking a risk in trusting him about certain things.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and cant wait to see where the story takes me in the next book.

Love this book so much! From the first word, we are plunged straight into the action. This author really knows how to write fight scenes! The plot kept me guessing, and I loved discovering the Dream kingdoms. The world-building is just amazing! So imaginative and different from anything I've ever read.

I adore every single character; they are all so different! I especially love that the genius little sister has my name, but spells it differently, "Kaylie".
The main character, Archer, is a great hero! Brave and strong, but flawed and prideful. He makes mistakes and regrets them, learns his lesson, then makes mistakes again. A well-rounded character, and I loved seeing him taking care of his family.

The dynamic between Archer's friends and acquaintances both in Reality and in the Dream was really interesting. Do we like them? Do we trust them? Are they good people or bad? So much mystery with the relationships between people and how they fit into the overall plot. What secrets are they hiding? It was especially engaging to see them all grow and change and fall.

I wish there had been more resolution at the end. There were a lot of loose strings that I wanted to see wrapped up, but I guess I'll have to read the second book for that!

I was laughing and crying and gasping in surprise. I was sitting on the edge of my seat, all my nerves tense with suspense. I can't get enough of this author! I want to read all his books.

A bit of a slow start, but an intriguing concept that was overall done well. The ending was a bit jumbled, but I'm looking forward to Book #2.
