As dark as this post-zombie apocalypse world is, I still like visiting it, at least in part because the characters are so competent and creative in finding ways to move forward.

Alright.  Just like all prequels, maybe explaining things that don’t need to be explained.  I’d rather have new stories in the Newsflesh world.

Knowing this was about Michael and Stacy, who we saw in Countdown-and we saw the moment right before their son got infected, well, yeah, I was worried about this story, but I'm really glad I read it, it was a really great read!

An okay, brief look into the grief and trauma of the immediately post-Rising world through the Mason's eyes.

Didn’t realize this was a series until I started it. It was good as a stand alone if you got plunked down into the middle of a zombie apocalypse, aftermath. There was enough character development that I could get a handle for the plot and the story itself was very clear. Makes me want to start from the beginning.
