This is my first book by Samantha Holt and I LOVED it!!! I was instantly pulled into the story. Isabel was running from her cruel father and her even crueler betrothed. While running, a band of thieves came upon her, stole her jewels, and was in the process of beating her when Jake came upon them and saved her. Jake takes her to Thornewall Castle, which is owned by his brother, Dominic. While Isabel is healing she starts getting comfortable with her life at Thornewall and with Jake. What Isabel does not understand is that the past has a way of catching up to us. Read this book to find out who catches up with Isabel and who captures her heart.
I did not want to leave the Borderlands of England and Scotland. The land was beautiful. The characters each had a story to tell and their growth throughout the story was perfect. There was humor, passion, sexy Lords and beautiful Ladies, lies, deceptions, sadness and celebration. The storyline flowed and never felt rushed and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series "The Borderland Legacy".
