DID NOT FINISH: 45%

Dnf. Was trying to force myself through series but really wasn't enjoying enough. And I found one of the mmc skivvy, I know it was a fated mates trope. But him being mid 20s and her being 17, I couldn't get past. And although he paid lipservice to not pushing her for a more intimate relationship, his actions contradicted this. Big Nope for me.

Nothing's happening. DNF.

In this third installment to the series, things progress with their relationship and the bonds build further between Laura and each of her harem. I loved reading as things progress. Mia continues to be a complication for them and there are points here where I really wish we saw her definitively dealt with in a more up front way which left no room for questions as to where she fit into things with Ares. I really enjoyed this installment a lot, especially towards the end with the ceremony. Such a great series!

This continues to be a middle of the road fantasy romance series for me, I liked the ending of this more than the others. It felt like the stakes going into the final book are really kicking up.

There has been more character development in this and I hope to see that continue into the final book.

A good book in the series, but there were a lot of formatting and grammatical errors. I am enjoying the character building and am looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Enjoyed the first half, but it got a little disjointed toward the end. There were long scenes that seemed to have no purpose, such as them discussing how to renovate their new house. And the big ceremony/party thing was a major let-down. She wasn't introduced to any interesting characters, there was no actual ceremony, no one even admired the dress she spent so much time picking out and hiding from Ares. It only existed as a reason to have a confrontation with Leon.

I really like Ares' character and her relationship with him. But I'm growing less enthused about the other ones. The domination thing she has going on with Dante is cool in theory, but since we never get to see how he acts when he's not interacting with her, there's nothing to contrast their relationship. He is simply submissive 100% of the time, which I guess isn't very hot to me. I was also disappointed that she doesn't really get as close a personal relationship with Ollie and Milo as she does with Ares and Dante.

Just not enough

I get that this is supposed to be a paranormal romance but it's like the paranormal part is an afterthought, barely anything happens to advance that story line in any of the books. It's mostly used as a means to explain the need for a reverse harem relationship as if genre readers need a reason for a reverse harem to exist. We don't, the readership accepts this type of relationship exists in the same way any other does. So the lack of advancement in that part of the plot and that fact that it only seems to exist to create a reason for the relationship really bugs me. It took three books for Walker to actually introduce the villain who hasn't done anything bad since before the main character was born. That is until they finally introduce him and even then it was barely a thing. Most of the series has been sleeping, eating, and shopping while occasionally introducing jealous females who aren't appropriately dealt with. Sorry but if my spouse subjected me to Mia or Delaney with the way they behave I'd get a divorce. I get that the girls behavior isn't their fault, but consistently creating situations for it to occur like it's no big deal is their fault. It shows they have little respect for Laura and enjoy the altercations in order to feed their egos. Two members of the harem are kind of their own thing and barely interact with Laura outside of friendship and the whole group lacks balance. It's like she's dating Ares and sometimes messes around with his friend rather than an actual reverse harem. Additionally the editing both for typos and content needs serious work. Between books one and two the campground owner changed his name from Mike to Mark. Dante has been both a lion and a tiger in the three books and I want to say was once referred to as a panther. That's just a couple examples. Not much actually happens in each installment to drive the plot forward. The story has potential but it's not living up to that potential.

Loved it

I can not believe it ended that way. What the crackers! I can't get enough of this series. Also Ares is life.
