I dont usually like thrillers/mysteries but this was a banger. Morally grey women who dont get killed off And I learned so much about turtles.
I pictured georgia (from ginny and georgia) to be the actress for Natalie :)

Unfortunately if you’re a fan of the mystery genre, this book will be way too obvious
The book was really predictable, but quite entertaining. The ending was silly.
Finished over a week ago but apparently forgot to mark it. It was alright. Definitely twisty but not absurd about it.

It is rare for a book to grip me like this one did. Having read The Housemaid, I was expecting fiendish twists in the tale, I suspected every character and I wasn’t disappointed. This for me was a book I had trouble putting down. The setting for a lot of the action is an office of a nutritional supplements company in Boston. Dawn the accountant, hasn’t turned up for work, which is most unusual and her coworker in the adjacent cubicle, Natalie, the golden girl of sales is worried down to the tips of her red Louboutins.
Dawn Schiff is socially awkward, she has OCD and is probably on the autism spectrum, though this isn’t spelled out explicitly. Natalie has the best sales record in the company, she is having an affair with her married boss and she is something of a bully. The narration is mainly from two POVs Natalie’s and Dawn’s, Dawn’s POV is seen mainly through a series of messages to a mysterious Mia. Both narrators are unreliable, Natalie doesn’t see her bullying and character faults for what they are.
The action is fast paced, it is a quick immersive read, I read the whole book in less than a day, which is unusual for me.

My rating 5 out of 5

Meh, I kinda enjoyed the beggining ig but the end was soooo dissapointing. Like wdym everything just stays the same and they both get on with their lives no repercussions AT ALL?!
