3.5 stars. I found this book to be an interesting look into the infamous infleuncer culture and the foundation of a marketing niche that is still very much in its creation era. As someone who isn’t very informed about influencer culture, I felt that I learned a lot and walked away with a far better understanding about the lives that make their living on social media.

This is a fascinating peek behind the scenes of influencers. It brings up much to think about regarding influencers responsibilities to their audiences and to anyone else they are including in their content.

Being influenced by influencers everyday, I thought it would be interesting to read a book about them. This book was well researched with statistics, facts, and interviews. I enjoyed hearing about specific influences experiences and how it has affected their lives for better and for worse. It was also interesting to learn some facts I've been nosey about ie how much an influencer can make per post/ad or in a year. I would have loved to hear from more influencers with unique circumstances... maybe ones who have given up on the lifestyle for whatever reason and why they chose that.
Overall, this book was a quick listen for me and gave me the answer to some of the questions I've been curious about when scrolling through my feed.

We’re surrounded by influencers these days. Looking for OOTD inspiration, a new book to pick up, a family friendly recipe , a Watertok creation, makeup tips, it’s all available with a click of a few buttons. The perks of social media.

I started Basic B’s Guide with the intention of connecting with others but little did I know that sometimes that’s easier said than done. The haters gonna hate and IG is going to continue to mess with us. Also, being my authentic self doesn’t necessarily mean I have to share absolutely EVERYTHING. I, like many of you, provide value and should be worth compensating.

I encourage you to listen (she narrates) McNeals insiders look into the evolution of influencers. It’s encouraging, full of
