I liked this one more than the Jacky Leon books that are set in this world. An Indian shake shape shifter assassin, that's amazing in it itself.
The characters were diverse, the story developed enough that I loved it and can't wait for the next one in the series.

Great start to a series

Great start to a series,I always love a kick butt FMC and Kahlia jumps right in the mix. I love the idea of some new species to learn about. The characters are very intriguing and keep me in my toes. Great plot and story telling this will be fun to see where the series goes next!!

Bounty is in the same universe as the Jacky Leon novels, and this one is pretty good. I'm not sure if I like it as much as Jacky, yet, but it is pretty good so far. I loved the heroine in this one, and how awesome she was.

Do you think, maybe, I could read 14 books before the end of the year? In quarantine till next year, hoping the tickle in my throat doesn’t amount to be more than allergies... it was in this spiral that I came up with this brilliant idea. Then, because I am proactive, I picked up my kindle to get started.

Warning: Probably read the Jacky Leon series, at least book 1, before reading this. Some events unfolded in that series that are briefly referenced here. In the grand scheme of things it wouldn’t really make a difference in your enjoyment of this book, it’s just for a fuller experience.

Turns out this book was not as rough as my day, and perhaps even better than the Jacky Leon books. I kinda really like Sahni (totally forgot her first name). She is not dumb, not particularly rash and kinda capable enough to protect her charge. Yes, this is my not-so-subtle dig at Jacky Leon. Gosh she was awful.

The FMC has just been back in Phoenix all of five minutes when a case about a bounty on a human is brought to her, at the same time her nemesis waltz into town to cash in on the bounty. The FMC is also a badass who’s spent over 80 years of her life hunting and killing supernaturals... so best believe shit is going down.

As an aside, can there be a book on Hassan? He’s just everything. Even the short mention of his politicking made me want to read all the Jacky Leon books just to catch a glimpse of him. (And I DNFed those

I really like certain aspects of the book, such as the world-building and the characters, and the fact that
Raphael is Kaliya's mate
, but there are parts when the writing feels really hollow.

This was a really good book. It is set in the same world as Jacky Leon. I love that Kahliya is such a kick ass lady. There were so many questions raised in this book that are making me very impatient for the next book. I am so curious about Rafeal and where their relationship will go.

I was given an ARC for my honest review.

Amazing, good writing. The idea of the world is amazing but the world building is a bit lacking
