DID NOT FINISH: 10%

Was heavier than I was up for with the abusive husband as a main focal point to the story.

2.5 - had high hopes for this one but the story lines got a bit hard to follow at times

i really did like this more than expecting. it wasn’t like my favorite ever because it’s a bit out of my genre, but i think the topics covered where really well handled and i enjoyed the concept a lot.

Wow. I don’t know how I feel! Such an interesting concept for a story following the 3 very different lives of a boy and his family based on what his mother decided to name him. Major trigger warnings. I found myself very frustrated for a lot of this book and sometimes getting confused by the sliding doors triple narrative among the 3 name paths but also I flew through this novel. The ending or wrap up chapters for 3 storylines had some really beautiful prose and tears were shed. I’m still a bit mad though at some parts! I’ll muse later and come back.
