A bit less than 4-star just because I feel like the book is quite dragging and reading became a chore even when I love to read more about this couple.
The world building is still amazing and I love it everytime the host of Hades appear. I also appreciate the way many small myths and minor gods and goddesses were woven into the story to aid with characters development.

My favorite retelling

A swoon worthy series that is full of well researched mythology, romance and spice. I devoured this book and the first, and cannot wait for the next. I don’t understand how this series isn’t as popular as ACOTAR. I loved all of it. Highly recommend.

Foreword: As many of you know, I'm a Pagan and a Priestess of Hekate and Persephone. These Goddesses are not just a piece of mythology for me, but a part of my life, they are deities to which I have devoted my life and Service to. So as you can imagine, it can be difficult, at first, to create the wall between my religious path and the fiction I read. However, I've read many fiction books about Ancient Greece, so I'm used to it.

That way, and I just wanted to make it clear before starting, this opinion and review is solely on the fact that this work is FICTION and not historical nor mythologically correct, nor do I accept it has anything even closely related to the truth. It's pure fiction.

My official rating is 3.5 Stars

Spoilers ahead!

I mostly keep my opinion from book one, this one has less sex scenes, I admit. And a lot more plot and even happens much faster, we see progress of six or seven months, which is huge! I'm really happy with that. The story developed much easier and much more fluid. Like the first book, it's an interesting read and very entertaining.

I like how the mythology isn't totally twisted to fit the story plot, and some things do stay true to the origins, even thought the main plot is totally different than reality.

Overall, the book is a very fast read and not that bad, to be honest.
