I enjoyed it more towards the end! Great, great novel. Sad. But very great.

A narrativa é linda, e me fez chorar muito.

Read this book for a class but was intrigued and compelled by the end. Tragic ending, but goes to show how unfair life and the system of oppression in this world is.

A short story that is much like a fable. Really deep immersion into Nigerian custom, and how they were affected and navigated under the auspices of British colonialism. Reminded me of Things Fall Apart and A Farewell to Arms (weird comparisons?). I liked the tone and the writing style - quick read, too!

Gave 4 stars on Goodreads, so would round up. I would recommend this but it isn't going to linger in my mind with impact.
