Please check CW and TW before diving into this one. OMG we have been getting glimpses of these two in the previous books and now we got to see their history and future. Penelope and Jameson had me gripping my kindle with all that tension. Loved how much Jameson cared about keeping Penelope as comfortable as possible. Hands down my favorite MMC I have read all year!!!

I have been reading Ashley’s for a few years now. She has easily became one of my favorite authors. And I look forward to reading every single book she releases.

Where We Promise is my new favorite by her. It was absolutely everything from the start. The characters are fantastic and the story just sucks you in. It’s definitely a read in one setting sort of book. The tension between Penelope and Jameson is 🔥. And the Rose Ridge crew are amazing. Also, look at the cover….it’s absolutely stunning.

Where We Promise is Book 3 of the Stone Riders MC series and I do suggest you read Book 1 and 2 first.

Thanks to Ashley for a copy of Where We Promise in exchange of an honest review

This series is literal top tier perfection. Everything that was laid out was done meticulously and with precision.

Jameson and Pen were absolutely stunning. Their story was incredible. My heart ached, I had butterflies, I felt grief. All of it was framed within these pages. As main characters, they knocked it out of the park, and I was left wanting more. All I want is to keep reading their story forever.

Ashley also has this incredible ability to make you fall in love with her side characters. Harris was my unsung hero in this.

I wish this story could have gone on forever, the same way I wished Where We Started and Where We Belong would never end, but it also set up book four seamlessly, and I can’t wait to see what she’s got planned for that.

If you have read this far, read Where We Promise. You deserve this. Because it’s TOP TIER. You will be obsessed, I promise.

Where do I even begin with this book…it was perfection! This series gets better with each book and I fall in love with each couple more and more.

Jameson and Penelope, these two made me never want to put their book down, which is why I read it in a day. They also made me angry at times, especially during those past moments we get to read. I love when it is a couple that has a history or grew up together, we get those glimpses in the past to help tell their story better than just a scene talking about the past. Jameson and Penelope most definitely have history but it was so much more than I thought it was going to be.

You can say this is a love triangle but I would say just a tiny bit. As the other guy, Luke, isn’t a love interest anymore and without spoiling anything, he is hardly in the story. Which I am sure if you have read this series or book 2, you can be happy to hear that lol.

This book made me happy, scared, angry and had me laughing. But mostly it had me loving everything. The friendship between Penelope and the girls (mostly Natty) made my heart so happy for her.

But the ending had me at the edge of my seat!! And it also made me want Silas and Natty’s book even more but I gotta say I am happy he is the last book because I know it’s going to be a WILD ride!

10/10 recommendation‼️

I want to start by saying I had not read the first two books leading up to this one.

And holy moly. I’m binging those other two immediately because this book was absolutely INCREDIBLE. The fact that Ashley Muñoz was able to get such a strong emotional reaction from me without me even knowing the overarching plot speaks to her incredible writing.

Y’all I was hooked. The story was so phenomenal and well thought out. The characters were amazing and heartbreakingly human. I was in tears multiple times, laughing out loud, fanning myself and just overall in readers heaven for the duration of this book.

This story is told with lots of flash backs spanning about 10 years. These interspersed with the present day made for an absolutely beautiful and heart wrenching story and the character growth that’s seen by doing this is some of the best I’ve read. The emotional response was so strong, I’m already read to start a reread and I know this will be a story I return to many times.

The spice was great and definitely a slow burn which was so fitting. It almost lulled me into a false sense of complacency before smacking me in the face and I’m so here for it. The MCs chemistry is absolutely fire and with those flash backs, ahhhh! It’s perfection.

Genuinely one of my favorite books I’ve ever read and I’m so excited to dig into Ashley Muñoz backlist, I can barely contain myself.

This time, I stayed up until 3 am finishing this book. But if you think I was going to just put this book down and go to sleep, then you’re insane!

This story is all about Penelope Pruitt and Jameson King who are from a different motorcycle club, The Chaos Kings. Jameson is the president of the club, but he and some other members loyal to him are essentially on the run from the rest of the Chaos Kings and the vice president, Luke Holloway. Luke is the father of Penelope’s baby, but he completely disowns Pen and the baby and most of the Chaos Kings then threaten Pen and her baby afterward because Luke allowed it. Jameson wasn’t having that, though, and promised Pen’s mom, Wanda, that he would get her and the baby away from the club and keep them safe. Jameson’s only hope is the Stone Riders MC because Jameson knows that the Stone Riders aren’t mean to their women and they even have a woman from another club being kept safe in their club already, Natty. After speaking to Natty, Jameson is sure that the Stone Riders will keep Pen and her baby safe while he can figure out how to get his club back in hand. Pen has been living with the Chaos Kings since she was 13, so it was hard for her to leave, but she knew she had to do it to keep her baby safe from Luke and his threats. Unfortunately for Jameson and Pen, even the members of the Chaos Kings loyal to Jamie weren’t loyal to Pen and her baby. So, Jamie needed to take drastic measures to ensure their safety, and the only thing he was sure would keep them safe would be marriage. So, Pen and Jameson got married but decided it would only be real to the outside world to convince the Chaos Kings. But, Pen and Jamie both had a big secret: they both still had very real feelings for each other and had since the day they met at 13, but they couldn’t admit it to each other. So, they agreed on a fake marriage, but they both had high hopes that it would eventually be real.

Something that Ashley is amazing at is what I’m calling the “right one, wrong time” trope; her characters meet the right person for them, their soulmates, but it’s always at the wrong time for the universe. It’s such a wild ride reading about characters who you know are meant to be together, and who desperately want to be together, but circumstances keep them apart for so long. But, it also makes them incredible slow-burn romances and when they finally find each other at the right time, things are so amazingly beautiful after that! Penelope and Jameson have both had feelings for each other since they met when they were 13, but neither one thought the feelings were reciprocated, so their lives drifted apart more than once. But, when they finally get married to keep Pen and her baby safe, things get explosive after that. It was so amazing to see them finally come together after so many years. This book is similar to Where We Started in that we get both present day chapters and flashback chapters, so we’ve gotten to see Pen and Jameson’s relationship hardships throughout the years, and that makes them finally getting together all that much more sweet.

Penelope was so amazing and such a badass, even if she didn’t always feel that way. I know she was scared of the Chaos Kings a lot after Luke burned her, but she was still always willing to do whatever it took to protect her baby, which was awesome to see. She was willing to put her feelings for Jamie on the back burner just so that she could pretend to marry him for her baby’s sake. She tried so hard for many years to get Jameson to pay attention to her and eventually, she had to just let things go for her sanity even though it was hard. I loved watching Pen bond with Natty after they got to the Stone Riders’ clubhouse. Pen never really had friends because she was linked to a motorcycle club, but once she met Natty (and Laura and Callie), she was able to make some more friends and bond with them. I loved watching her get a father figure in Harris, as well. Their relationship was out of necessity since Harris was protecting Pen and the baby, but they still bonded all the same and he became more than just her protector and I loved it!

Jameson King. Jameson Freaking King is absolutely top-tier book boyfriend material, peeps! Jameson is a big, buff, broody, tattooed, bearded, motorcycle-riding, possessive, kinda shy and kinda bookish, secret cinnamon roll with a filthy mouth so he’s literally the definition of a perfect man, at least for me. I loved everything about Jameson, but I especially loved that he was so willing to do whatever it took to protect Penelope and her baby, even though the baby wasn’t his. It takes a strong and self-assured man to love a baby that isn’t his, especially when he knows and is somewhat close to the father, but Jamie was exactly that. Jameson was also always coming in hot with the “my wife” and the touch her and die vibes…literally. 👀 I loved watching him open up to Pen during the story and watching him let her see his vulnerabilities.

I am so in love with this book and I can’t say enough amazing things about it, so it’ll just be living rent-free in my head for a while. Jameson and Penelope’s story has officially taken the top Stone Riders MC spot for me (but don’t tell the others…who knows what they’ll do to me!). I will tell you that you need to get the bonus content for this story! Even if you just get it to read the first scene, do it! That scene left me with all the thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and wildflower wishes, and I can’t wait to see if we get more of it later! While I don’t know that they’ll beat Jameson and Penelope in my book, I can’t wait to see what happens in Natty and Silas’s story!

Quotes I Loved:

"Those caramel eyes would land on me and for just a few seconds, I'd feel like a hole had been pierced in my heart, allowing in the first glimpse of sunlight. He was warm and safe. He was what I imagined having a steady home must feel like." -Penelope

"Penelope and I had a complicated past. One full of unspoken truths, missed chances, and stolen moments. I'd hurt her. She had hurt me. It was fate's twisted sense of humor that we were now thrown together in some odd, domesticated role." -Jameson

"I always felt so cold in the wake of his gaze leaving me. It was like having a cloud move in when you've been craving the sun." -Penelope

"I had stolen her first kiss, and it was only because at the time, I refused to accept that another would claim it. ...but that first kiss would always trace back to me. I'd be branded on her forever, whether she wanted me or not." -Jameson

"Living with her had become hellfire to deal with because I was always burning now. Burning to touch her. Burning to see her, to look at those curves she occasionally showed off." -Jameson

"Stardust. Silent prayers and hope. So much hope it would burst through my chest and break my fucking heart." -Jameson

"You're a tragedy in your own way, just hanging around in my chest like a poison, slowly infecting my heart." -Jameson

"He was warm sunshine on a lazy summer day. Heat soaked dirt and fresh grass. He was peace. My peace. The one steady thing I'd clung to for half my life." -Penelope

"...she looked like sin and stardust. All midnight hair and fucking porcelain perfection." -Jameson

Ashley just keeps setting the bar higher and higher with each book in this series. I keep thinking after reading each one “this is my favorite” but let me tell you it think Jameson and Penelope take the cake on this one.

MY WIFE…. My god this man!

The push and pull Jamie and Pen have is unmatched. The way I wanted to strangle and then hug them. There were multiple factors to their whole relationship. Themselves, others, timing, and locations.

There are so many scenes that are currently on repeat in my head is ridiculous! There were so many emotions I had during this book. Anger, frustration, hope, sadness. It had everything! Do not skip downloading the bonus chapters. The first one melted my heart! I cannot wait for Silas and Natty’s book!

I read this is one sitting- I have become obsessed with these characters and this world. I legit CAN'T WAIT for Silas and Natty and am wondering if there will be more characters we haven't met yet (pretty please Ashley continue this series!!). But let's discuss this tragic love story that turned into an HEA. The angst and longing in this book was palpable. It was gut wrenching to read the past chapters with Pen and Jamie with the miscommunication and miscues and the too scared to say what he felt. UGH BUT I held out hope because I knew we would get what we wanted- an HEA with them married.

Read this if you want:
- childhood friend to lovers
- she's pregnant but it's not his
- marriage of convenience turns into more
- it's always been her
- touch her and die vibes
- second chance when there wasn't a first

I didn't know I needed this book until we got the peek at the end of Where We Belong. I was like hold the phone what is the back story with Pen and Jamie and then Ashley delivered and here we are. Jameson King is the heir apparent for the Chaos Kings. Luke Holloway is his heir VP. Their dad's got their "old ladies" pregnant at the same time so they have grown up together. Their dynamic was very interesting. It's like they tolerated each other but didn't like each other. They would be there for each other in a dier situation but that's it. Then Penelope shows up at the club when they are all about to start high school. Jamie doesn't know how to act- he gets shy and finds himself pulled into her orbit but of course Luke immediately starts flirting with her. So instead of fighting for her and going after it Jamie backs off. They circle each other for YEARS and oh my gosh those were so hard to read. How much they clearly cared for each other but Jamie held her at arms length.

Fast forward to today and everything has changed. Pen is now pregnant with Luke's baby. She finally moved on from her crush of Jamie because he made it clear he didn't want her that way. Luke has flipped a switch- he doesn't want the baby. He doesn't want Pen anymore. So she has no choice but to run and who does she end up being saved by- Jamie. The same Jamie who she somehow always feels an invisible string towards but it is unrequited or so she thinks. Now he proposes that they get married in order for her to be protected. But she has to keep reminding herself it isn't real. The vows he just told her though they are everything she ever wanted to hear aren't real- right? The way he looks at her in public and now private is just a means to an end right? But then Jamie starts talking about the future and the lines get blurred. She can't help but speak the words she has always wanted to say to him. She just hopes that he is finally ready to either let her go or hold on tight because she doesn't want to go anywhere anymore.

Favorite things
- Their letters to each
- The kept raven
- Calling her his wife and the baby his son

I would highly recommend this series if you haven't picked it up already! There is angst. There is steam and SPICE. Mr. King's mouth was straight up dirty. There is suspense and action. I haven't read an MC novel/series before, but I have found myself really liking these morally grey characters. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!!
