Deducting half a star simply because the characters really need to learn how to say “what the fuck” instead of just “the fuck”. Pet peeve.
Otherwise, loved this book. And I’m even more excited to read Silas and Natty’s book after that ending.

Remember how in book 2 I said Laura was a soft girl and it was relatable and I was here for it? Well Penelope dialed that up way too high. In fact she spent much of the book staring at the floor. I wanted to shake her and tell her to stop being such a doormat

My fave of the series and an absolute hit from this author!
The way the backstory of the main characters was slowly revealed and the slow burn of their relationship. Divine. Talk about a morally grey MMC too 😏 his decisions had me all twisted up, as did that mouth of his *fans self*
The ending and the way I want to read that fourth and final book! Bring. It. On!

Another solid entry to the series! I was disappointed at first when I realized this book wasn’t going to be Natty and Silas’ book, but I ended up really loving Penelope and Jameson’s second chance romance
Parts of the story felt a little rushed, but ultimately I really enjoyed it

MISSED OPPORTUNITIES ~ MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE ~ MC CLUB LIFE
Having devoured the first two books in the Stone Riders MC series, I eagerly picked up "Where We Promise," ready to delve deeper into the story of Jameson and Penelope. While it certainly satisfied my curiosity about their past and present, it also left me with some lingering questions.
The life Penny leads with her mother, moving from one MC club to another, is undeniably intriguing. Ashley Munoz paints a vivid picture of the MC Club "family" and its hierarchy, making it easy to get absorbed in this world. The author's decision to include bonus scenes was a smart move, adding much-needed complexity and depth to the story, setting the stage well for the final book in the series.
However, I found myself struggling with some aspects of the plot and character development. The idea that Jameson never realized how much Penny loved him seemed far-fetched, and I felt his character lacked the backbone that was so compelling in the earlier books. Penny's relationship with Luke also left me puzzled; it wasn't clear what drew her to him or why she stayed with him.
The narrative took a turn for the rushed after the baby was born, with too much telling rather than showing. This shift made the latter part of the book feel less engaging and somewhat disconnected from the meticulous build-up we had seen earlier in the series.
Despite these criticisms, "Where We Promise" remains a solid read, earning a three-star rating from me. It's not as gripping as its predecessors, but it still holds value for fans of the series. Here's hoping the final book delivers the payoff we've been waiting for.

Jameson and Penelope - friends since childhood but he was too afraid to want more.
A fake marriage to protect her and her unborn baby from Club members who are loyal to her EX or blame her for creating dissension, it’s all anything BUT fake. Jamie and Penny just need to admit their true feelings and that definitely takes a long while in this book.
Once again, I read another book in this series in a day. The Stone Riders MC series is addictive and the characters are captivating. I was frustrated with Jamie because I didn’t like him stepping aside to let the love of his life be with another. Nope. Not on board with that move. BUT he proves himself after all. Finally. And talk about hot, steamy scenes! Wow!
So now I need to move onto book 4 because we have a character kidnapped, in danger, and we still don’t know hardly anything about mysterious Natty.
