i'm really looking forward to reading this one again <3 put it off for years in the fear that it wouldn't live up to my thomas harris expectations, and i understand why, but i'm glad i finally did read it!  less impactful than the others i've read, for sure, but still an excellent thriller.

I tried but could not finish this. The book had some promise but focused on all the wrong things. I was incredibly bored.

I “listened “ on the way to and from work. The plot was good, had a few twists. However, this is not what I expected “post” Hannibal Lecter.

Fantastic. Harris never disappoints. His books take a long time to come out, because he researches so so thoroughly. I love his character development, and his heroins. He will never write enough books for me to be satisfied.

This book felt like a section of a much longer novel.

Kind of disappointed by this novel. No personal attachments to protagonist or big-bad... Expected more, after author took so many to write and publish something (after the Hannibal serial).

It was over too quickly! Loved Cari. Hope there's more stories featuring her to follow.

Didn't get far though this book before I decided I really didn't want to be in the head of a serial killer like this. Haven't read Thomas Harris before, but liked the movie 'Manhunter' years ago, and this book starts out (that's as far as I read) in a similar kind of vein. Guess my tastes have changed somewhat over the years.
