I really liked this one!! A solid story, with a bonus appearance of professional women's hockey. I never thought I'd read a book based on someone really into being a campaign manager but it worked!

I also enjoyed Madison constantly noting small parts of driving, like Victoria glancing at her mirrors or herself checking her blind spot. I felt like it reinforced Madison's fear of driving and also gave some of the moments in cars time to breathe.

When I stopped to think about the timing (as the reader is reminded how many - or how few - days it has been at the start of each chapter) the relationship seemed to be happening pretty quickly. But the story didn't feel rushed.

I also appreciated the solidarity between all the girls in the book. While they didn't always get along, they stood together and showed up for each other when it mattered. Easily my favorite YA book I've read this year!

Thanks to Macmillan for the free copy of this book.

 - SOMETHING LIKE POSSIBLE is essentially "what if Leslie Knope was a bi teenager?" and I loved every moment of it.
- Madison's drive makes her at times a frustrating character, but I understood her and cheered for her throughout it all. Plus, Moreland is so good at writing complicated teenage emotions and delicate coming outs.
- This book takes a hard turn at the end into some heavy subject matter. I know it's sometimes annoying to call a book "important," but I think this is for young girls. It's something that's not often explored with nuance at this age level, and I'm glad for it.
