SISTEREAD! I loved it even more sharing this with my sister. We also did a podcast, Close Reads, which was really interesting! Jane Eyre is a classic for a reason, one of the first novels told in the first person. It’s lovely following Jane as she navigates her way through life. She’s got troubles, hardships, but she doesn’t let herself get bitter or downtrodden. She makes the best of her situation. I also appreciate Rochester’s development. He’s a man willing to sin in the beginning, but he repents and is willing to face his punishment as it comes. To have the two of them reunited after they have both grown and matured is the best part. I’ll keep re-reading this one!
