Meh. I wanted to love this, but I didn't realize the whole thing was based solely off of the movies and not the book. So, some of the information was "inaccurate" to me. Not a bad read for a casual Harry Potter fan, very bleh for me.

There were several spelling mistakes in this book. They repeated a lot of information and also got some quotes wrong or information wrong... However the illustrations are beautiful so if it's really cheap I'd recommend just for them.

Not a whole lot of new information for me, but I can appreciate a book dedicated to the kickass ladies from the magical world!

A really cute little book, perfect for any fan of Harry Potter
This book doesn't go into a lot of depth, but it's a nice little primer on the various women of Harry Potter. I enjoyed it, even though it didn't teach me anything I didn't already know. It's very nice to see women spotlighted like this, and all the various quotes and captions inside, showing all the different things a woman can do and be.
It'd be a great gift for a kid who loves Harry Potter - but only if they've seen all the movies and read all the other books first, because this is full of potential spoilers. Gifting something like this too prematurely might ruin the Harry Potter experience, so make sure the kids in your life are up to date on it before handing them this book.

Este repaso por todas las brujas cis del mundo mágico creado por la innombrable no está mal, no realmente.
Lleva al lector por todos los rincones de la magia que conocimos en las películas, mostrando estas mujeres y tratando de ilustrar sus aportes. Sin embargo, a veces se queda corto y la mayoría de las veces no tiene mucho que decir y termina contando la parte de la trama en la que participan haciendo foco en los personajes hombres cis que realmente siempre llevan la historia.
Porque, si algo queda claro, es que en el mundo mágico las mujeres son clave pero nunca son el personaje principal.
Mención aparte para las ilustraciones, que a veces estaban copadas y a veces estaban medio... Raras.

Non-fiction for all ages. This is a beautiful guide to the women of the world of Harry Potter. There are of course pages on Hermione, Ginny, and Luna, but there are also entries on Harry's Quidditch teammates, professors, those in the Order of the Phoenix or Dumbledore's Army. The villains are represented as well, from Nagini, to Bellatrix Lestrange to Narcissa Malfoy. The women from every one of the movies or books is included, even the new Fantastic Beasts movies. A fun book to skim through, quiz yourself or others, or remind yourself who characters are when their name is mentioned in passing. The illustrations include both drawings and photographs from the movies.
