How to explain. I hated it, I loved it, I devoured it.
I read this in 6 hours! It was so good I couldn’t put it down. I loveee Alex’s character- a badass vigilante who’s seen and experienced more than a young woman should. Peekay is also an amazing character, friend and daughter. I even like the snooty popular girl. The character dynamics and plot were just great! The writing was also done very well. I will definitely be picking up more from McGinnis!

Hands down, best book I've read this year. So unexpectedly powerful.
Channels the horror of rape culture and the me too movement into a vigilante girl serial killer. You know what she's doing when she tortures and murders her sister's rapist/killer is wrong, and when she burns a child porn trafficker alive in his home, and when she rips the face off a would-be rapist. But you just can't bring yourself to care. Fast, great writing, so much rage.
5/5 stars. It's 11:15 and I have to teach in the morning but here I am sobbing instead. Full review to come.
