Oh god I love Conner’s rendition of Harley Quinn SO FRIGGIN MUCH. This special issue is basically Bedazzled with a genie instead of the Devil, same results and hilarity ensues. And it’s exactly what you’d expect from HQ— cheeky, a little inappropriate, and at the core of it all, full of heart. In short, I loved it. There are also some great nods to other prominent HQ stories/moments as well, which were cleverly done and fun to see.

10/10, do recommend.

Harley is so cute in this <3 This comic plays out the trope of the ~Genie who makes very literal wishes~ which I personally find to be pretty funny. Harley makes lots of fun and creative wishes and it’s entertaining to see how they all play out. The art is really nice too

Synopsis

When Harley Quinn finds a Genie's bottle and rubs it, what will she do with the unlimited wishes he bestows on her? How can even the simplest request become warped in the wishing process? Will Harley Quinn get everything she's ever wanted, or will this be a nightmare she'll want to forget?

This was a fun little comic! To be honest, I'd never read a Harley Quinn comic before this one. I know her character and have read comics with her in it but none that are about her. However, I have a close friend who really likes Harley, so I knew I would love this (especially since the writer has written the comic series my friend loves!).

This is a single-issue comic, so don't expect anything flashy or long, but do expect some great jokes and an interesting story. Harley makes a few wishes, but none of them turn out how she expects them too. I guess you're supposed to read the fine print when you find a genie in a bottle. I really enjoyed all the jokes in this comic. Some even made me laugh out loud.

I also found that the storyline held its own, was easy to follow, and kept me interested to the last page,
something that can be hard to do with only 32 pages! This was so fun to peruse solely for the story, but the art really came alive as well. I loved the colors and the art style. It felt so Harley-esque. I found this comic to be fitting of everything I know of Harley-by-association.

Overall, I highly recommend checking this out if you get the chance!

Okay, I’m starting to become a fan of Connor’s Quinn! This issue was hilarious, & I choked on air at the part where Harls was invisible & tapped Bat’s butt. 😭 Her art is growing on me, too. Enjoyable read!

It's cute, but the cover is misleading (none of those things happen).
