As the Sunday Telegraph said, "He is screamingly funny. He is wise. He has style." What more do I need to say?

I loved the Night’s Watch more, but this was a Discworld book, which means it was funny and I liked it

This was another great book in a series that I’m loving. I mean, I’m only three books in and I’m already recommending it to people.

This was my first non-Rincewind book, and it leaned less toward humour than the last two I think, but it was still super fun and definitely absurd. I found the witches to be really interesting, and getting to know them in a story that was also about wizards was a great way to expand the world while not straying too far from what we know. Also, Granny is just the best.

The next book is about Death, and I can’t tell you how fucking excited I am. I’ll probably be reading it in a couple of weeks.

The third Discworld novel, and the third I've read is so far my favorite in the series.

The world expands more and more for each novel and so does the ideas and the social structures within the world. It's fascinating to see Pratchett finding his footing in the universe he, till his death, never stopped creating.

This was my first Pratchett book and it did not disappoint. It tells the story of Eskarina (Esk), a young girl who has the power and the will to become a wizard in a world where women just are not wizards. Granny Weatherwax, a town witch, takes Esk under her wings to teach her the world of witchcraft, but it's just not enough.returnreturnEsk then finds her way to the Unseen University where wizards are trained. Think a prequal to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - wonderfully fantastic. Will she be allowed to become a wizard? After a struggle with the powers that be, we find out.
