dark tense fast-paced

Absolutely SOLID work from Junji Iti, once again. Fun, spooky little stories that are sure to stick with you

This was like if Japan wrote a gory season of Black Mirror. I’m here for it.

Overall good horror collection. Some stories felt more like etudes, but most of them are a solid eery experience

No need to rate each story individually - these were all a 5. The body horror in this collection was top notch, but I expect nothing less from Ito.

Negative stars. One of the worst things by ito I’ve ever read. Sickening honestly. I feel sorry for people who wasted their money on this

A much better collection than Alley, some of the stories kinda Peter out but a good chunk have some fun creepiness and creativity that Junji Ito is known for

By story:
Tombs ☆☆☆☆
Clubhouse ☆☆☆
Slug girl ☆☆☆☆
The window next door ☆☆☆☆
Washed ashore ☆☆
The strange tale of the tunnel ☆☆☆☆☆
Bronze statue ☆☆☆☆
Floaters ☆☆☆
The bloody story of shirosuna ☆☆☆☆☆

This is one of the better collections of stories, there’s quite a few good ones and some of the others linger in your mind for a while

This is a considerably weaker collection in comparison to his other releases by VIZ. Nothing too frightening and nothing too weird looking. My fave story is the one about the tunnel that draws people into an evil mountain that captures the souls of the victims.
