A really good collection of "tales of the macabre" (which I find far more accurate and descriptive than simply labeling it as "horror"). With entries written by authors ranging from H.G. Wells and Bram Stoker to Ray Bradbury, there's a wide range of style, and several pleasantly creepy tales. The final entry was a particular surprise in that it's actually a non-fiction piece: Frederick Treves's account of his friendship with Joseph (John) Merrick, the "Elephant Man". All in all, a very enjoyable anthology.
