Loved this audiobook so much. This series is so wonderful to listen to. I loved the relationship between Zach and Lark, how they are both learning how to live after trauma, and how they help each other navigate this new world. Trigger warnings for kidnapping, mentions of rape and child abuse, though.

To list one thing I disliked about the story and one thing that made this book superb in my opinion:

There was a little inconsistency when it came to the mMC at the book
e.g. him purposefully making a sexual joke which was just out of character
and it felt like the author needed to figure out which way to go with this character but when she settled with the characteristics and stuff the author wanted he ended up being a well-written and facetted character.

I liked how the less easy topics mentioned/contained in the story were dealt with as it felt quite realistic and thus actually made me emote strongly.
(the ups and downs, the parts were you could swoon, laugh, giggle, hope or cry)

She looked vivid, as if God had painted her features with bolder paints than he used on the rest of the world.
