It's been a while since I've last read this... I listened to the audiobook this time and was still just as fascinated as the first time I read this book.

This is a necessary and affecting read, all the more for its (albeit disappointing) relevance, a lot of which is found in its preface - "Yet one must remember that England is not completely democratic. It is also a capitalist country with great class privileges".
