Cute little story for lovers of the series and makes a great standalone too. Shows the talent of the author to be able to explain the society, have a plot and make the characters loveable

I love all things Strangeworlds so when I heard about this WBD book I just had to grab one. I was lucky enough that L.D. saw my plea for a copy in Canada and pointed in me in the direction of website that would ship to me. I am so glad I did because this was more adventure in the Strangeworlds universe and I want a million more. I loved the premise and of course the Cloud Dragon. I want to eat all the delicious treats from Strofadia (especially a Snowstorm-on-a-Stick) and have a chance to fly with the dragonfly like wings of a rig. Magic!!

What a wonderfully delightful short story! Children are so lucky to have this be a world book day choice <3

I adore the Strangeworlds universe and I just needed to get a copy of this myself while I wait for my local library to get book 3 in. Just a perfect little companion story. Writing a short story while keeping suspense, world building all while introducing the series to newcomers in such a great way is a real talent! There was adventure, but so much world building that made the new world feel alive and real all packed into 52 pages! Nothing even felt rushed at all, it was paced really well.

Just more proof that L. D. Lapinski is certainly one of the best childrens writers of our time!

I loved being back with the Strangeworlds gang, even if only for a short story. I loved the idea of wishes turning into glass beads, and the involvement of dragons. Also, Flick eating chocolate covered lightning made me cackle.

This episode of the Strangeworlds Travel Agency for World Book Day 2023 was a delightful short read. It's perfect for those who don't know much about the series but want to learn a bit more, as well as a wonderful continuation to the series for those who are familiar with the three-ish previous books. Due to its short size, the plot is relatively more important and solves itself very quickly and tidily.
