Katherine Dale is a hard-hitting corporate star. Who cares that her footsteps strike fear in the hearts of the company’s other employees? She’s on the fast-track. She has plans. She just got the ax. Worse? Her office goes to someone named Chad. And she didn’t even see it coming.

But no worries, be Katherine has a plan. She’s going to write a book. So, she holes up in her Cotswolds house with her finicky cat, No. 4 and gets started. She’s got her book planned out on an Excel spreadsheet. She’s got the advice of the fabulous astrologer, Mark Ainsley-Thomas coming in her inbox every day–a must-have because she’s completely tuned into her horoscope. She’s writing, and then…

Mark’s advice suddenly takes a left turn. Even though they’ve never met, Katherine had always felt so connected to Mark. His horoscopes were spot on. He knew her so well. Until he didn’t.

James Kingman’s life hasn’t exactly turned out as he planned. The art gallery wasn’t a success. His wife’s left him. And after his famed-astrologer father’s death, he’s left with the weight of Dad’s unmet expectations hanging over his head. Looking for a change, he takes a job writing the daily horoscope for Mark-Ainsley Thomas. It’s great, if not a bit nerve-wracking–until Katherine Dale starts sending complaints to his inbox.

When sparks fly, Katherine suddenly realizes she’s found a friend in James. That she might actually like him? What surprises will the stars hold?

For those of you who read my blog and my work, I’m big on characters. If they don’t speak to me, don’t grow and change, I’m not interested. Linn B. Halton has a gift for creating interesting and complex characters and dropping them in situations that we can absolutely relate to. When you mix in the attention to detail, the cluster of elements that make up Katherine’s unique world, you can’t help but feel like you’re sitting beside her.

Under the Stars has it all. Everything from laugh-out-loud humor to tear-jerking moments. It’s a page-turner that will have you reaching for the book well after your bedtime.

Bottom-line: You can’t go wrong with a Linn B. Halton book. Under the Stars sparkles!
